At this phase of the project the cabinets where not painted yet except for the drawers. The white you see is the primer. The cabinets are painted green, and they look great. We are holding off on showing more of the project until it is more finished. In the mean time we will do occasional blogs about smaller aspects of the project. We are not going with the Mondrian look for the kitchen, but have some ideas about how we might incorporate that design in another part of the house. More on that later. If that's correct; I hope you go with those colors! I know some folks in our neighborhood who went with those colors in their kitchen and it looks great. The cream instead of white adds an instant retro/nostolgiac appeal. As for Mondrian, I did a little of that in our kitchen re-do, painting the cabinets and drawers different colors against a white base. I love it; very bright and busy and cheerful. I like it, but to be honest, I like our neighbors green/cream kitchen colors as much. Can't wait to see the finished product! We’ll be posting more about them soon. We have given serious thought to going Mondrian with some of the drawer and door fronts. However, we’ve sprung for a professional paint job and couldn’t quite get there, especially before they were even installed. Hi Pam!
