Going, Going, Going, Gone!
|
Our kitchen tear-out is beginning this week! (Don’t worry; it was not the original 1955 kitchen.) Gone will be: * An impossible-to-keep-clean kitchen sink * A glued-down cutting board with a giant crack * A drawer which can’t be opened unless the dishwasher is opened * No counter space between the cooktop and the frig * Double ovens which routinely set off the nearby smoke alarm Stay tuned to see our new retro kitchen! |

How exciting. I can’t wait to see the results!

I can’t wait either! I love how you reassure us that it was not the original kitchen. I too had misgivings about removing some of the older stuff in our house remodel, but I determined that what we wanted to remove was either a) old, but not original or b) original, but cheap and ugly

The new kitchen looks great so far! I just started gutting the kitchen of our mid-century modern house last night. Our kitchen may or may not have been original, but as Barclay said above, it was cheap and ugly! It will be fun to watch your progress. Feel free to follow ours too at http://www.midcenturymodernize.com Happy Renovating!

Our old kitchen wasn’t particularly ugly, but it didn’t complement the style of the house. We are extremely pleased with the improvements we are making.
We have added your web site (Mid-Century Modern(ize)) to our “Related Sites” listing. We encourage everyone to follow your project as well.
